How to select drive for storage and keep it there?
Recently switched to Pop!_OS following the increasing overbearing by Microsoft. I have my drive formatted in Linux's EXT4 format with all my games on it. Following a crash (Bethesda game, this is routine) I ended up hard restarting my computer, not knowing the way to kill the program yet. Now Steam won't recognize my drive, all my games seem to be uninstalled, and any attempts to set my drive as storage are met with various refusals from the Settings menu. I was eventually able to do it before with enough coaxing, but now it seems like it's stuck that way, and the individual storage option per game seems to be conspicuously absent, as if time, money and effort were spent to remove this feature. I know Valve's not that wasteful.

try this

go to whatever program you are using to view your disks

i use disk

select the one with your games on it

find the option to repair the drive, mine is a cog wheel.

it may be a hamburger or a drop down or just there when you select it
