(RESOLVED) Issue with gifting
Hello! I'm a bit new to steam and have been having constant issues with gifting games to my friends. I have recently received a giftcard to apply funds to my steam wallet, but each time I go to the checkout and select the gifting payment option, it doesn't work. I have tried multiple different times on multiple different people and It does not allow the payment to go through. My wallet funds work perfectly fine whenever I am purchasing games for myself, but not for gifting. Is this a common issue? If so, how do I fix this issue?

contact steam support or use a different form of payment. steam has been restricting accounts from using wallet funds to buy games as gifts due to people abusing it.

I've tried "contacting" steam support. I located the issue I was having within the application, and it sent me in a bit of a loop. Is there any way to contact them directly or a way to file an issue ticket (if that exists)? Apologies if not, thank you!

There's a support category labeled verbatim "I can't complete a purchase" which is exactly what you're having. Pick that category.
