How do you make friends on steam and PC

I know this sounds dumb and sad but I've been playing on PC for 7 years and haven't made any friends on here at all. Original I was playing on the Xbox 360 when I was younger and I made a lot of friends and have a lot of cool memories from it. I thought PC would be the same but no one talks or interacts with each other in game and everyone kinda say in there own little group. So I want to know the different methods people make friends on here.

Just keep talking in chat. If your find someone interesting who talks back, just ask them if you wanna team up and send them a friend request.

Every game has a forum dedicated to it. The people there may be looking for teammates or people to chat about game lore. There are also many user-created groups. Some will undoubtedly be related to your interests.
