Steam doesn't allow animated .gif images. Make it a still png or jpg if you want to use that image as an avatar. If you want to share an animated .gif the only option is to upload it somewhere else like an image host (imgur, dropbox, flickr, pinterest,...those kind of sites) and share the link to it.

But I already upload gif before and didn't had this problem

It might work if you upload it to your Artwork gallery. Have you tried that?

Only in our artwork gallery. They do not work (and won't upload) as an avatar and we can't add them to our profile page or any other gallery section.

That is a showcase not in my art work gallery. 2 different things. AS I HAVE SAID.

The things that show up in on a profile with achievements showing is a SHOWCASE.

That is how it works cause steam don't want people posting scam links on their profile. Same thing you can't post youtube video links to your profile for the same reason.

Kraken just made another topic reporting they're having this same issue. Looks like it's another error Valve created with the poorly made update they released today.

Unless maybe they have or they're going to change the policies with gifs and didn't post the policy update yet?

Guess I should've specified that I'm trying to post the GIF in the Artwork section, but steam doesn't let me it says that I can only upload file sizes less than 8mb, even tho the gif I'm trying to upload is 5mb.
