How to contact steam ?
I bought a game and I received a duplicated key. Now the game seller is asking me for proof from Steam showing when the key was used, to check whether I’m lying or not. I don’t know how to contact Steam. Please help me.

Steam Support have given the info to users.

How others asked:
Help > Steam Support > Steam Community > I need help with something not listed here > Contact Steam Support > explain the situation and include the key

part of a post I made elsewhere:

(And pre-empting some reply to this from some peeps - yes Steam Support has given that info:

In that thread you will see the OP mention they received the info. The link actually goes to my post - it contains links to posts from another user who received the info from Steam Support, a link to a screenshot of Steam Support's reply, and a link to the post informing that user where to ask.
Wouldn't normally include all that breakdown, but..... :D)

Unless you've decided on/already taken other action, if you do decide to ask Steam Support and they decline to give you the info, screenshot/paste that message back to the seller. If the refund is denied at that point, then I'd say look to chargeback.

you got scammed, do a chargeback and stop using that scam site.

the seller knows that steam support will not provide you with that information

Yes, I honestly thought it was a regular website because I’m new to anything related to gaming. I hope I can get a refund through PayPal…

if your going to buy keys, there are a few sites you can use to check to see if the site you want to buy from is an actually key selling site and not a grey market.

this site lists legit sites, there are others that people use

a key selling site gets their keys from the developer/publisher

a grey market gets their keys from where ever they find them. what you may get are Fake keys, used keys, different region keys, demo/press keys, stolen keys, keys bought with stolen payment information, keys that are not what was advertised (key is for the base game and what was advertised was a bundle), accounts being sold, etc.

some of these can and do result in the key being revoked. if they are selling an account, that account can be taken from you (its a violation of the user agreements for most companies to sell/buy/trade/gift accounts, there is no transferring ownership of accounts), etc.

Alright, thank you very much. I contacted Steam to get the information. I had already opened a dispute on PayPal just in case. I informed PayPal that I’m waiting for Steam’s response to see what will happen, as I’ll need proof either way. Thank you very much.

You won't get any info. Game seller is purposedly stalling, because he well knows, that Steam won't share someone's else data with you.

Valve won't provide that information. Though it does seem the scammer's plan to stall for time is working.
