You upload them to youtube and then post the link to the video in a discussion.

If you're looking for a way to embed video in discussion, you can't unless you use youtube.

Might want to make video invisible without link so it only links to this discussion like you're asking for. It honestly doesnt matter if you embed a video here or on yt, it's public either way with 10 views.

If you don't want to use YouTube, the other option for videos that embed on the forums is Vimeo.
