Delete the shader folder for the game, so the game can reload it. Do not worry as the game always downloads it over again everytime it loads. Sounds like maybe it got corrupted. Try this and see if it works. Let us know if it does on here. I actually used this method with AC VALHALLA and it helped with crashing with the shader issue in that game.

shaders are not downloaded they are compiled by the CPU for the hardware the game will run on.....

Shaders are compiled in a two-step process:
first from high-level source code into a hardware-independent intermediate language, and then from the intermediate language into hardware-specific machine code. This final compilation is often handled by the graphics driver or a runtime compiler on the user's machine to ensure compatibility with their specific GPU model and version. Game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine manage this process automatically, often using a cache to store previously compiled versions to speed up subsequent runs

this is what AI says on it and its right even if it takes the long way around.....

now as for your usage i would look up the game itself that your having problems with....it will be based on the game and nothing else

Yes, but on some games, it creates a folder and installs stuff. Two games i have done this in are Hogwarts Legacy and AC Valhalla. You can actually delete this folder. The game will reinstall the shaders again, thus fixing it the issue usually. For these two games, it really helped me. Sounds like half your info is wrong. IT does install on some games for pc, just not all of them. Go look on the games i mentioned and ask them about the shaders, then come back and see if your answer if fully correct. Your lacking some info on this. Again , it does not install on all games, but alot games it does and deleting it can fix issues with it. And yes, they can get corrupted like every file can potentially on pc. That is why i run SFC /SCANNOW all the time.

Yes, that is what i said. I think it was you i talked to when you taught me that trick for AC Valhalla as it stopped the crashing bugs on me for that game. Smokerrob79 said i was incorrect.
