i have finally given up all hope on team fortress 2 and steam and valve as a whole.

with the addition of the newest spectral stash case, i know that valve is only appealing to the whales at this point. they do not give a ♥♥♥♥ about you unless you upload weekly case opening videos and spend around a hundred dollars per week on this game. they fix things with cases in a matter of hours and pump out unusual effects and terrible unfitting hats because the whales eat it up.

any attempt to play the game casually sets you up against a steamroll on the losing side almost every single time. half of the time you get put on the losing side of a game that is already over. you cannot scramble teams to achieve any semblance of balance. when your team fails to immediately stomp the enemy, half of them leave.

and will valve ever fix these things? of course not. it does not affect their profits enough, so they will never bother fixing it. people keep buying cases so why fix a system that is not broken? the only updates we have gotten in the past 5 years are new cases and new cosmetics. makes sense, how else would you milk the whales?

how the ♥♥♥♥ am i supposed to have fun when i am on the 20th steamroll of the day? oh we lost the first half? entire team rage quits because they cannot make a clip out of it only to spend the other ninety five percent of their time and half of their rent money on a chance to get generic circling item number five billion.

anybody who says they have fun playing this is lying to you. it is a plain and simple example of sunk cost fallacy in action. no, you are not having fun after getting steamrolled on upward or badwater for the 20th time. no loadout combination or item combination makes a 2 minute steamroll fun. no amount of effort or trying makes a steamroll fun.

tf2 is dead and i hope it stays that way. the new christmas 2025 case will just bring worthless cosmetics, bloated maps that will be abandoned in a week, and more godawful unusual effects that make the so called investors waste their rent money on a generic circling pop culture object.

goodbye steam. was fun idling on casual servers while it lasted.
