Is there a way to select our installation folder, outside Steam folder?
I have my GOG games, and others from outside Steam, like Path of Exile, on a SSD dedicated F:\Games, and inside, each game with its own folder like C:\Games\Fallout 3. That makes easier to backup folder files to other disks, or pen drives with similar structure, like. H:\Games\Fallout 3. With Steam I need to deal with 3 extra levels of sub folders.

You can go to Steam Settings > Storage > Add Drive or Add Library and it will create a new library on a different location.

Edit: Unsure if this is a for sure fix, but I hope it helps. :)

There is only "Add Drive", and the new drive will make the entire folder tree described. Also there is another option "Rename Library", don't know for what it is. It will change _Steam, or steamapps, o rcommon? Those are folders. Don't want to miss things.
