Backup NOT Working
I tried contacting Steam about this, but they don't have a category that actually addresses this type of problem. I ran a backup for Destiny 2, and it took more than an hour to run. When I looked in the folder for the backup -- IT WAS EMPTY.
Of course no one can actually reach a real person at Steam. I understand; it must be very frustrating.

I have not personally used this feature on steam before, normally if i want to backup a game's save files i just copy and paste them to a different folder.

That is pretty much what I did. Stream "acted" like it was creating a backup, only it did not. I tried to contact both Valve and Steam and got nowhere. Valve customer support is a joke, and Steam is tailored to answer the most common problems. Neither of them have any way to contact a technical person.
