Steam support is just like a decoration
First of all, I am sure I didn't click any scam websites or something strange else

As a victim of repeated hacking, I’ve been left frustrated and disappointed by Steam’s lack of action and support to secure my account.

Actually, I am like many other users; I’ve spent years and money on my Steam account, accumulating games, achievements, and countless hours of gameplay. But recently, my account was hacked multiple times, with strangers gaining access and using it for their own purposes. Despite implementing the Steam Guard 2FA system, the hacker was still able to bypass it and log into my account.

Have more worse still, they used my account to purchase games for themselves, exploiting my payment information. Of course, the purchases weren't eventually refunded; it sounds very good job, right? How dare it fail to protect users so badly?

The funniest part of this ordeal wasn’t just the hacking. It was Steam’s lack of meaningful support. I reached out to Steam Support multiple times, explaining the situation in detail and requesting urgent help to secure my account. But all I received were generic, copy and paste responses with little to no actual solutions. They are just decorations.

Steam's support system feels like they only realized they needed a button to decorate afterthought. For a platform that generates billions of dollars in revenue, one would expect Valve to prioritize its users’ security and provide responsive, empathetic support. Instead, users like me are left to fend for ourselves, with vague advice and no real accountability from the company.

Additionally, Steam claimed that its Steam Guard feature shields accounts from unwanted access. But my experience tells me otherwise. The hacker gained access to my account without the necessary authentication code, even though Steam Guard was turned on. This calls into question Steam Guard's efficacy and whether it is taking the necessary steps to guarantee that it functions as intended.

If hackers can bypass Steam Guard so easily, then what’s the point of having it at all? Decoration? Valve needs to take action to improve this supposedly secure system.

You were not hacked, your account was hijacked because you were careless with your login credentials.

Do all the following steps to make sure your account is secure:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

As for how your account keeps getting hijacked, these are just a handful of ways you could have given away your credentials.

*Have you been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
*Have you been asked to register for a tournament/faceit group?
*Have you used any third-party site for gambling or trading? (doesn't have to have been recent, they can keep your info for years, waiting till you build up your inventory)
*Have you logged in on a public device?
*Have you entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
*Have you tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
*Have you been invited to a playtest a game via a link in chat?
*Have you talked to an "admin" after being "accidentally reported"?
*Do you use any browser extensions (like Steam Inventory Helper or CSFloat Market Checker)?
*Does someone else use your PC or your account?

Steam guard cannot be bypassed, you gave your account information.

You most likely went to some 3rd party website to vote on a team/skin/whatever or because somebody claimed they accidentally reported you.

It's impossible cause I don't use my steam for a time, maybe 1-2 months
I just got the credit card notification, so open steam to check

That doesn't mean they just got your account, some scammers can wait weeks just so you don't know when you lost your account.

If you have Steam guard that means that you or somebody else gave out the login, password and valid steam mobile auth code which allowed them to login on your account. There is no way to bypass Steam guard
How would you get hacked multiple times and it has nothing to do with your actions or your devices?
There are dozens of millions of other users.
Why you multiple times?

If you're unable to accept the most basic fact that you gave away your info, then nothing anyone said in this thread is going to make any difference for you in the future.

Steam accounts are not hacked.
