a random dude just added me on dc and said that i bought a 1103$ Big Grin from him. im unemployed and is a student btw. i dont even have 1000$ as my allowance so it's literally impossible i would buy that. then he would ask u if u bought it because they didnt receive any payments. the next thing he will do is he will tell u that he mistakenly reported u for "scamming" him, he would spam u and ask u to send a ticket to steam support as well. he tricked me into sending the screenshot because i genuinely thought he was worried about that 1k item. i was dumb lmfao i actually sent him a screenshot with my email and ticket number exposed. so he sent an email using "appeal@steamhelpsupport.com" saying this is a serious matter and if i do not corporate, they will ban my account. they asked me to click a link or add this "steam staff" on steam. first of all, their tone in that email is so unprofessional, i dont think steam would threaten u like that. second, steam's offcial email will ALWAYS be steampower.com, any other than that are FAKE. thirdly, steam would NEVER ask u to add their staff like that. i believe it's their rules that steam staff members are non disclosure if u get what i mean. so just ignore the msgs if someone said u purchased smtg from them but they didnt receive any payment. NEVER EVER EVER click or add anything they sent u :P hope this helps
