#2. Explore at your own pace. You do not need to follow the story quests. The game is made to go out of your way to explore.
#3. Always talk to everyone you meet as they may give you a quest or items.
#4. Specialize in blacksmithing and you will never run out of making good armor.
#5. Mixing potions is fun too. You can also make overpowered potions this way; For example, you can make a potion that makes your enchanting skill over 100% if you make it the right way. Potions are time limited, so make sure to make ones for specific things you are doing, like enchanting armor and stuff.
Also, which version of skyrim are you playing?
Step 2: Play game.
Step 3: Enjoy.
Also, you may want to direct further game-specific inquiry to the Skyrim community hub.
Regular Edition better, because can go up to 100 frames. (But has less content, and if you go above 100 frames you might get bugs.)
The Anniversary Edition is like an addon to the SE, which adds more realism and even more side-quests, items and extras.
Early on, I would not take too many quests.
