However since ALL playtime counts you're probably going to have to make a support ticket to explain yourself.
But if you really want that refund that might just work.
Still, there is a chance they might refuse it since they will see OP was in a family at time of purchase.
Then make your way though the maze of pages and links and sub-pages to wherever the refund request is.
If you can't find it then instead go to Steam Community>"I need help with something not listed here."
At the bottom of the next page click "Contact Steam Support" and then explain your case. Try not to put personal info in there or your card info, etc. If they need that(they shouldn't) they'll ask for it. Give them only the info they need to know.
