hey we other hear you, we have moved to digital DL age, to keep have old box games that take space, raise the issue at steam support they think you have few , others have 100 to 1000 box games maybe, im not sure ppl want today wall of boxes anymore.
i can't be the only one with cd-rom games, and late DVD games, it do take space.
They legally cant, as you cant proof its yours. A simple email address is not enough.
Thats why you use the Steam Mobile app to login and have created emergency recovery codes to login to your account, no matter what.
Sadly most users dont think about account security or taking preemptive measurements till they are hit by a scam or an account hijacking.
Now... Valve has no idea if you're trying to steal an account or just a hapless user who's had it stolen, or mismanged it in cases where people just lose access.
