Weird issue with Windows 11 VRR and AMD RX 9070
I upgraded from an RTX 2060 Super to an AMD RX 9070. Everything's great, the GPU is really fast, but I've noticed a bug: when VRR is enabled in Windows 11, V-Sync stops working in many games. I get constant, terrible tearing, even at +180 FPS. If I disable VRR in Windows 11, V-Sync works again in all games and everything is super smooth. Is this normal? And do I even need VRR if I have FreeSync anyway? With VRR, the tearing is catastrophic. It wasn't like this with my Nvidia card; I could leave VRR enabled in Windows 11 then.

VRR is FreeSync.

FreeSync and Gsync are just brand names for VRR (variable refresh rate)

I only have one Windows device with a AMD GPU, a ROG Ally and VRR works fine with Vsync, have you enabled both in AMD control panel?

Vsync only works with AMD Adrenaline, set it to always on. But ingame Vsync, no reaction, if windows 11 VRR is enabled. What would you think is the best setting for gaming?
