Is there any way to make steam auto pause game or at least auto quick acess menu (since some games actually pauses when you call it) when controller get disconected?

Why am I asking this? I use Xbox 360 wireless controller with rechargeable AA batteries and every time it disconnects (even by accident) or run out of batteries, most games continues to run and my ass get kicked.
