The new UI is glitched for me

When I click in my profile or the notifications button, nothing is showing up. Also I can't access anything from the top left (Steam, View, Friends...). Anyone know how to fix it?

I can't even move the main steam window. If I open a secondary window I can move it just fine, but the main one is stuck in the center of my screen. How do you screw up windows? They've been around since the early 90s.

EDIT: On the plus side, restarting the thing again fixed the issue.

I restarted Steam, then Windows, and even reinstalled Steam but nothing worked.

The problem I keep having is I can't move the Steam Window if I have discord open in fullscreen on my second monitor.

If I try and do this, then Discord "eats" the Steam window. Like, Steam is now inside Discord's screen and can not be moved out of that window. It's strange, I've never seen that happen before.

I sent a message to Steam Support about it and am currently waiting for a response. The only thing I can access is Settings, but I can't access my profile, the Steam Store, or my friends list at all. I don't understand why they would force us to install an update that many beta steam users state still has issues.

I've also noticed all my windows open up as tiny and I have to resize them to read them. It's annoying to have to do it constantly.

On my desktop Mac, running 10.13.6, the Steam UI is a featureless, inert rectangle. Does not show games library. Does not show games store. Inert as a brick.

Hey guys, i fixed my problem. You need to go in Settings>Interface and then disable GPU accelerated rendering. If you can't click on "Steam" in the top left, go to Settings by right-clicking on Steam at the Windows task bar.

I know some of your problems are different but maybe this can help you too.

Same, the new UI is so unstable on Mac that steam is almost useless
