New Windows 11 installation, but games are missing
After a fresh Windows install, Steam isn't finding my games. In the past, I've been able to tell Steam what folder to look in, but in this newest version of Steam I can only add a drive, not a specific folder.

Elsewhere in the forums, someone recommended moving the games to where Steam is installing them now, but it hasn't worked.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply! They must've changed the UI because mine is a dropdown menu of drives. Then I had to select "add drive", which gave me a smaller window with another dropdown, and THEN it had the option for adding a different location.

My only problem now is that I can't add a different folder on the drive Steam's installed on (my OS drive). When reinstalling Windows, I moved my C drive games to an HDD, and when I put them back on the drive, I can't add a different folder. Moving them to Steam's default folder doesn't work, either. It recognizes the one game I installed, but any games I drop into that folder are ignored.

Again, thanks @rawWwRrr for the help. I think I had seen that post, but my mistake was giving up when my UI looked different. Once you replied, I looked deeper to find the very thing you referenced.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
