Is this some kind of scam?
I'm just minding my business, trying to play Destiny 2 and this random person I don't think I've ever meet, claims they (and their friends) mistakenly reported me for scamming them out of the skins? I don't even know what game (if even?) they are referring to? I don't even partake in any kind of cosmetic gambling, which is likely where this alleged problem has supposedly originated from?

I do not have a link to their profile. I do not recommend going there as I've heard some people able to add weird things on the profiles some how, I am not sure if they are one of those people that do that... (It would help if there was a way to copy a link without needing to go to that page first)

Idfk what is going on, I do not plan on responding to them.
I'm not sure how they reported me on "mistake" notably I made my own profile picture, it was not sourced from the internet, I made it, so unless someone is intentionally impersonating me, I don't think anyone has any reason to use it other wise?

It's bad enough innocent Devs on Unreal occasionally get harassed by children thinking they could get "V-Bucks" out of them >:(

Edit: new message, nothing notable, just for the backlog I guess

just visiting their page will not do anything to you or your account

and just to be safe

as this is sometimes the middle of the scam,

do no trade until you have done these

1. Scan for malware

https://www.malwarebytes.com/

2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.

3. Deauthorize all other devices

https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.

5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App

https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

6. Revoke the API key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey

(there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

the scammers tell you that you were reported and send you to a fake steam agent

then that scammer tell you to transfer your stuff to a friend to keep it safe

then they intercept the trade and your stuff is gone,

Huh, I wasn't aware of how that works, thanks for the insight
but this isn't that, I haven't initiated any trades or have any active trades, and I haven't for a long time.

if you have ever used a third party site

you may be at risk

these sites can/will sit on the info for a long time before they do anything

it is one of the ways they convince people they are safe

even if you are not sure or still think the site is safe (if you used one)

it does not hurt to run through those to be safe

i do not even trade and i do it every once in a while
