Refund
I am trying to get a refund for a Sims expansion pack. Despite it not being downloaded or installed, the automated refund system wont issue a refund to me as I have played the core game for more than two hours. How do I contact an actual person to discuss this? The customer care system at Stream is disgusting

which DLC are you trying to refund? some DLC you cannot refund, I do not know if any of the Sims dlc do this or not.

if you want to submit a manual ticket, select the purchase, then select "I have a question" and make your request there.

Have you played the base game longer then 2 hours since you bought it?

https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/steam_refunds/

DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase.

You can try a manual request. Select the I have a question about this game option and provide an explanation. No guarantee they'll refund though.

Thanks, I have submitted a manual request. If I had known about the 2 hour rule I would have requested a refund immediately.

That’s why you should read the policies before using any service. Don’t just agree to them, read it.

Yep. I imagne OP is one of those people that does not read if a company can charge them money later in the TOS of a contract. Just like in this silly family guy clip:

Is there any need for your sarcastic comment? Its logical to assume that if something hasn't been used and it is only within a day of purchase that a refund would be given for said purchase. Get a life instead of leaving unnecessary nasty comments on peoples requests for help

It's logical to not assume when there's easily accessible information a few mouse clicks away.

You can rationalize why you chose to assume and pretend it was logical. But when your logic is all wrong when it runs into reality, doesn't that suggest a flaw in your logic and assumptions?

But don't sweat it, a lot of people do what you did. And even the rest of us who know all about the refund policy. We've made a thousand incorrect assumptions about a thousand things or guesses about how something works. And when we're wrong we promise we'll never make that mistake again, and this time we really mean it! It's just part of being a person. Just big sacks of electric meat barely making it through existence. No wonder we make so many mistakes.
