So when i use ingame overlay browser it keeps giving me: Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network.
It only happens when in the ingame overlay, all my browsers outside of games function normaly, it started happening after i did fresh install of windows 2 days ago. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Already tried 5 scans for malware with no results, and it only triggers when i try to google something, not just by opening the browser

2 months late, but for what it's worth: I'm pretty sure this is caused by Steam's browser sending some HTTP headers that Google recognize as it coming from an application other than a browser. My solution for it is to use qwant.com instead.
This happens to me also, only in the steam overlay browser. My other browsers work great also. I tried scanning for viruses, and turning off gpu acceleration but to no avail. I've never had any VPNs on. So I really don't think this is a problem on my end. First world problems I know, but this is very annoying.

May I suggest opening you registry editor by typing "regedit" into you search bar on windows.

Open the registry editor and look at CURRENT USER> SOFTWARE

and just go through the list. You might find a lot of thinks you are unfamiliar with, but if you do a google search of that specific file name, it will typically tell you it's for such and such program, or a core windows registry.

You can also search through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE and see if there are any changes in there.

Years ago my friend said anti virus is a scam and he just checks his registry manually. I learned how to do the same.

I do run a program called Advanced System Care Pro from IOBIT, which cleans up my pc. I also use ccleaner free.
I also use IOBITS Driver Booster because it is amazing. The game boost closes programs you didn't even know were open.

I think it's like $40 for both subscriptions for a year. But I've never looked back, same with not having Avast, or those programs. I just check my registry is Advanced System Care doesn't pick anything up on a scan.

Started getting this recently as well.
I have it too, no possible malware on my computer - I only use it for gaming and watching YouTube, antivirus scans show absolutely nothing and other browsers work fine. GPU accelration in browser view turned off.

Do you prehaps have any msi component in your PC? I recently also bought laptop for travels from MSI and i get the same thing from the very start, i set up the pc on different wifi with different steam account and from day one i get the google captcha ingame internet browser, i am pretty sure i have MSI motherboard in my PC, so i wanna know if everyone here who gets the error also have any msi component.

I have the same problem. I built my new PC last week and installed Windows 11 right away because I didn't see the point in using Windows 10 again. I never had any problems with the Steam Overlay browser on my old PC. I've actually ruled out malware because I only use all drivers, Steam and other launchers, and software from reputable sources like Corsair, Mozilla, Razer, and so on.

I use Bitdefender as my antivirus, and it couldn't find anything. I've also tried disabling Bitdefender and removing their VPN from autostart, since I don't use a VPN anyway, to see if that solves my problems, but unfortunately not. I've also contacted Steam Support about this, but they don't currently have a solution for this problem. They only told me that other third-party software can affect the Steam Overlay or that my Steam settings are incorrect, but I use exactly the same software as on my old PC with Windows 10, only the drivers are different due to the different motherboard. Does anyone of you happen to still be using Windows 10 and have the same problems or could it be due to some settings in Windows 11?
I'm using Windows 11 and this strange problem seems to have started after the latest update. I reformatted the drive and did a clean install of Windows to make sure my antivirus software hadn't missed anything, but the problem persists. Steam browser on my other PC with Windows 10 and same network works fine.
