8BitDo Pro 2 - No Gyro (SOLVED)
Steam recently got an update to fully incorporate all of the features of a lot of 8BitDo controllers, including the Pro 2. When I connect my Pro 2 to my PC in D-input mode, Steam recognizes it, it shows the correct controller visual in the configurator, and the back buttons are mappable. However, for the life of me, I can't get it to recognize gyro controls, even though everyone says that it should be working in D-input mode now. It doesn't recognize that the controller even has gyro capabilities unless I connect the controller in Switch mode, which gets rid of a lot of Steam Input features that were added in the client update for 8BitDo controllers. Has anyone been able to get any of this company's controllers working *fully* in Steam Input in D-input mode since the most recent update?

EDIT -- Okay, I figured it out, for anyone who needs this in the future: I had to go into the Steam controller settings to test my inputs on my Pro 2, and click the option to reset the inputs. After that, I exited Steam, turned the controller off, and completely unpaired it from my computer. I then re-paired it via the Bluetooth settings on my PC, and only then would it finally recognize gyro in Steam.

Yes, all features working for me in D-mode (gyro, rumble, back buttons, analog triggers) over Bluetooth & USB. Am using the Pro 2 Bluetooth gamepad updated to fw 3.06, Win 11.

I had to fiddle a bit to get things functioning at first...
In Steam's input device tester choose Reset Device Inputs then re-connect controller, re-start Steam, see if something helped.

I'll absolutely try this after work today, thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, everything else works for me, the triggers, the back buttons, everything, just no gyro. I'll update when I've tried to reset it through Steam.

Okay, yeah, I just tried it again, and I'm still not getting gyro in D-input mode. Two different computers, two different 8BitDo Pro 2 controllers, everything up to date, and gyro is the only thing that's not working on anything. It works perfectly fine in Switch mode, but not in D-input.

I'm a little late to the party, but I also wanted to add that the controller needs to be on the latest firmware.
