Multiple issues, GPU crash/freeze, Windows not allowing Destiny to load
Just built new computer a couple weeks ago:

AMD 7 9800x3d CPU
Asrock 870E Taichi Mboard
Asus Tuf RTX 5070 ti OC GPU
Corsair HX 1200i PSU
Windows 11 Pro

Everything seems to run well, except the GPU freezes/crashes after a few hours of streaming Destiny 2. This has happened about 7 times now in the past 10 days.

The first few times, the screen would completely freeze/crash, no error messages, and I had to restart the computer.

At first I was getting a error message:
"Graphics runtime detected a crash or loss of device.
Contact help.bungie.net
error code: broccoli"

Then, I got a couple Battleye error messages which also stopped the game when it froze:

"Battleye error
Battleye has detected a problem.
Visit help.bungie.net
error code: plum"

Also this:
"Battleye
Bad packet"

I searched online for a fix and found this last night:

Brocolli runtime fix:

1) Launch Destiny 2, open up Task Manager, go to 'details', right click on Destiny file, click properties, then go to compatibility and select 'run as administrator, click 'apply', then click 'ok'.

2.) right click on Destiny file in task manager and go to Priority and change it to 'high'.

I am not 100% sure if I did step #2.

I did the above last night and played for about 3 or 4 hours with no crashes or issues.
After playing, I turned the computer off for the night.

Just turned on computer and tried to load Destiny and it won't load.

When I first try to load Destiny, I get this Windows message each time:

"User Account Control
Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?

Destiny 2
Verified publisher: Bungie Inc.
File origin: Hard drive on this computer

Yes No"

Then regardless of clicking 'yes' or 'no' above, this Windows message always follows:

"C:|Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Destiny 2\destiny2.exe

Windows cannot access the specified device path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

Within a second or so of getting the above windows message, it always followed by this Battleye message:

"Battleye Launcher

(time) Starting Battleye Service....
(time) Updating.....
(time) Launching game...."

Game never loads.

without loading the game, how do I access Destiny 2 program in Task Manager to check or make changes, or is there something else I can do?
Or is this unrelated to the Task Manager change I did?

Would so much appreciate your help.

The battle eye issue is because if your using windows 11 os, you need to turn off kernal-mode hardware-enforced stack protection. It is not compatible with battle eye. Not sure about the other issue though. You can read about the info for battleye and windows 11 os here:

https://www.battleye.com/support/faq/

"When launching the game I get a “Failed to initialize BattlEye Service: Driver Load Error (1275).” error and Windows displays a popup reporting that BEDaisy.sys cannot be loaded on this device due to a security feature called “Hardware-enforced Stack Protection”.

Recently Microsoft has started to ask Windows 11 users to enable this security feature and if they do so it will cause the BE driver to be unable to load. Due to the complexities involved in security software unfortunately many kernel-level anti-cheats, including BE, are not compatible with this feature yet. While we are working on finding a solution and are also in contact with Microsoft regarding this issue, unfortunately there is no easy or immediate fix for it.

Update: Recently we have fixed this incompatibility, however, currently the latest Windows 11 is still blocking any version of our driver whenever this feature is enabled. We are currently waiting for Microsoft to release a Windows update to unblock the latest versions of our driver to solve this.

Therefore, for the time being, users will have to revert enabling this security feature using one of the following ways. Please note that by doing so you will not lower the security of your device or expose it to greater risks compared to previously, as this is a new security feature that wasn’t enabled on devices before.

Click the “Disable” button in the Windows popup and reboot your system.
Open the Start menu and enter “Core isolation” in the search bar to open the related Windows Defender settings. In the “Windows Security” window switch the option called “Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection” to “Off”, then reboot your system.

Afterwards you should be able to play BE-protected games again."
