Can’t Verify My Phone Number – Not Receiving Code & Can't Enter Letters in Authenticator
Hi Steam Support,

I’m facing a serious issue that’s preventing me from accessing my account properly and continuing my work. I’m a YouTuber, and I rely on Steam to play and create gaming content for my channel, so this is time-sensitive.

Here’s the problem:

I’m trying to verify my phone number on Steam, but I’m not receiving the confirmation code via SMS. I tried several times on different days and networks, but no luck.

I downloaded the Steam mobile app as an alternative. I received a code via email to set up Steam Guard, but the code contains letters.

On the Steam mobile app, the code input field only accepts numbers, and won’t allow me to type the letters included in the code – which makes it impossible to proceed.

I’ve already submitted a support ticket via the official website, but it’s been over 4 hours without a reply, and my work is on hold until I resolve this issue.

Any help from the community or moderators would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone experienced this issue and found a workaround, I’d love to hear it!

Same issue. Did you fix it?
delete the steam app and redownload it again perhaps it'll help ...

Use steam mobile and add your phone number from there, try to turn on and off your airplane mode or restarting ur phone. I also had the same problem yesterday, then i try again this morning and i receive the code via sms also whatsapp. Btw turn off any DNS and try using ur mobile data not Wifi, sometimes Wifi block it the code. Also the code u receive in email was for acc login.
