Running steam os 3.6.24 and can not use my second m2 drive (error formatting )
Can anyone explain why steam os cant format my secondary m2 nvme disk,
I installed steam os it works. But i can not use my secondary ssd. My primary nvme ssd is 1 tb and runs os and all my games . But i would like to install some games on my secondary ssd also so i dont fill up the primary ssd so fast.
Pls steam this is a basic function that should just work.

I think the os is beta and not supported, your gonna have to use google

what file system? ext4? xfs? or zfs? I would try good old reliable ext4. make a live os of a Linux distro and format ithe steamos m2 drive ext4. the boot back into steamos. a cheat. kinda

sat here with a nucbox m5 plus rage-re-formatting a 2TB secondary and google-fu isn't helping much

Jumping ship to batocera for time being :(

Yea. Did try this...

I found out my error was that i formated it to ext4 from steam os desktop, and then returnd to steam os big picture .....
What needed to be done is as follows.
#Format your disk in desktop mode. Ext4.
#do not start steam os in big picture mode. Go to steam settings in desktop mode. Here you can mount disk to steam os, and its all amazing...

In desktop mode click the application launcher (button on bottom far left). In the search box type in kde partition manager.
