It allows you to assign the buttons of your keyboard and your mouse to buttons and the anlog sticks of your gamepad. So i just assigned mouse movement to the analog sticks, left and right mouse buttons to a and b and some other useful keyboard commands and shortcuts to the other free buttons and triggers. Works like a charm, at least for me.
now, how do i slow down the cursor speed? lol its a bit unwieldy
That app Xmouser works wonders. More straight-forward to use than steam/more common sense) It has a free trial and is just a few bucks. Well, just another opinion ;l

Thank you so much for this answer I was trying to figure how to use my Xbox controller as a mouse.
