What part of 2 hours and 2 weeks is somehow difficult to understand
Also for 'I dont meet the minimum requirments, how did you paly for 3 hours and get 3 achievements?
Its this nonsense of refund abuse that people are worried about.
What's to not understand about the simple terms - "purchased less than 2 weeks ago AND less than 2 hours played"?
"ilke 3 months" could NEVER be construed as fallling under this.
No, the price charged is irrelevant.
The point is that if you don't fall within 2 weeks and less than 2 hours played.
Tip for the future (and I don't mean this to be mean) - NEVER take what's said on forums or gossip for granted. ALWAYS check the official pages.
You'll note there is ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION of 6 months. It makes it CLEAR that it's 2 weeks and 2 hours played time.

Otherwise how would people get a refund on a game they bought which has then been abandoned by developers before the steam refund policy came into play... aka Stomping Land...
No, I'm not completely wrong at all. I clearly said that.
YOU get an automatic right of refund under the stated time frame.
You get a discretionary one FOR EXTENUATING CIRUCMSTANCES. They don't just give them out willy nilly under that oft misinterpreted "we will look at it" clause. That's there as a caveat. Why do you think that the timeframe of 2 weeks bought/2 hours played is stated if they were just going to ignore it?
You WILL have to demonstrate good reason why your case falls outside of that window. Faulty games, such as Stomping Lands, ARE such an example that could be considered.
I know this sounds like an argument from authority, but this is STANDARD contractual agreement clauses. I can state this from experience as a legal advisor, specializing in disability and consumer law.
It's very, very simple - it's like ANY other refund on any other service or product.
You have your STRICT delineation for refund, then you have the caveat to account for unforeseen circumstances.
There are ALWAYS things that crop up that might be either special extenuating circumstances, or situations nobody thought of in advance.
For example, if you have a game that is 3 years old, you're WAY out of luck, unless you can show there were special reason why you couldn't have requested before. Naturally, 3 years being way off kilter, the chances of you proving such circumstances are virtually nil.
However, consider someone who buys a game, can't get it to run, so plays less than 2 hours. However, they fall ill and end up in hospital for a couple of weeks. Wouldn't it be reasonable to allow a refund as this is a circumstance beyond their control?
But do understand that "we'll take a look at it" caveat is ABSOLUTELY NOT for people who are WAY WAY out of the window.
