What does steam say about the purchase? Is it pending, failed?

When you look at your steam transactions if it is showing as pending it means the transaction has not fully completed yet and steam is still waiting for the money transfer from your bank to come through on their end. Once it does you will get the game.

If the transaction is showing as failed, the money will be returned to your bank usually within 3 working days.
