I just moved to another country. Can I get banned for using another payment method & different currency?
I heard rumors that if you buy something using different currency you could get banned on steam. I moved from Malaysia to the US, and got a new debit card here. If I buy something using USD and not RM (Malaysian Ringgit) can I get my steam account banned? Thank you very much for help.

using a new payment method local to the store region of your new permanent residency is actual proof that you moved.

Please note that changing store region using this method is subject to a 90 days cooldown. That means that you cannot change store region again after 90 days have passed.

You are not in violation of Section 3 A Steam Subscriber Agreement if you actually live in the USA instead of pretending to do so.

No, in fact you are required to use the region you live it. So continuing to use Malaysia could get you in trouble.
