Unstable Ping on multiplayer Games
I have a fiber internet connection that terminates at a router near my front door. My PC is located in a different room and doesn’t have a Wi-Fi card, so instead of wiring the entire house, I’m using a second router — a VDSL router — set up in bridge mode to connect to the fiber router over Wi-Fi. My PC is connected to the VDSL router via Ethernet.

Why I did this:

My PC has no built-in Wi-Fi.

I want to avoid running long Ethernet cables through the house.

I already had a VDSL router with Ethernet ports, and I’m using it as a Wi-Fi bridge to get internet to my PC.

The Problem:

Internet works fine for browsing, streaming, and single-player games.

In online games (like Dota 2), I experience unpredictable ping issues:a

Sometimes I can join a game with stable ping and finish it without problems.

Other times, ping randomly spikes or stays high, and I can't join games — which gets me penalized.

My ISP has checked the fiber connection and says everything looks fine.

Why i am getting this? DId you see any king of issue before

Ditch Wifi bridges. Get a cable long enough to plug into your pc. Wifi bridges can slow down speeds. I have experimented with this about 10 years ago and there is a drop in using them.Just get a ethernet from your router directly to your pc.

If you live near a WALMART they sell Cat 4 cables for very cheap nowadays.

NOTE: Make sure to check back of pc for a network card with a ethernet port in it. Most pcs still have one built into the network cards.

Then there is nothing you can do to fix the slowdown, as the wifi bridge is the issue you are having. It is like when you use a usb port expander on a usb port. It basically slows down the functionality of the usb port on copying files. Your wifi bridge is doing the same thing. IT is causing a bottleneck on your internet speed.
