Lost all my TF2 and CS2 items in a phished trade
This was a little while ago, but I'm pretty sure I got phished. I got this friend request from what I was assuming was a bot, and there was an artwork link in the bio. I was curious and clicked the link to a "steam sign in" (which I'm pretty sure that's why I'm here today). I didn't really think anything of it as it was an art steam profile, it seemed innocent. A few days later I get a few phone notifications as I'm driving to school saying that I have two successful trades. And when I get home later that day I see that my entire tradable TF2 and CS2 inventory has been moved to these 3 different accounts. This completely sucks as I've been playing these two games for many years and racked up a bunch of stuff and now every single tradable item is gone. It was early April when I got scammed, I went to pilot school over the summer and got back a few weeks ago. I tried to send a ticket the day the scam happened but I guess they got rid of tickets or something, I couldn't find it anywhere. I asked around and reported all the profiles with descriptions and I got no reach back. I just reopened the trade logs today and I see that there is a new "7 day undo" policy or something now, that would've been amazing to have a few months ago. Can anybody help?

nothing you can do

stop click on links and use your steam login and secure your account

I changed my passwords and stuff right after, apparently my steam authenticator was down too at the time

Your account has been hijacked. Either Malware or phishing.

Follow steps 1-6 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Click on game,
Click on "it's not in my library",
"Restore removed package".

You giving someone a code allowing access does not equal the Auth being down.

Account security is your responsibility.

Accounts are PHISHED because the end user gave away all their account details.

The account name, the password and the KEY to the door, the Steam Guard Mobile code, or scanning the QR code or authorising via fingerprint giving them access to the account.

How? by either logging into a known scam site or sites, tailored malware on your PC, the vote for my team scam, you have a pending ban scam on Discord, free knife click the link etc.

How does Steam (a program) know it is not you when all the account details are correct? It doesn't, therefore any action taken on your account is seen as you doing said actions.

The alternative is not plausible:

1) Someone would have to "GUESS" your account name from "millions of possible combinations".

2) Next they would have to "GUESS" your password from "millions of possible combinations" and then match it to your account name with "millions of possible combinations".

3) And finally they would have to "GUESS" the Steam Guard Mobile code (which changes every 30 seconds), or you scanned the QR code or authorised via fingerprint to then have access your account

Actually, im glad the OP recognizes this as a phishing issue, and not say hack like everyone else does. Good on your OP!

Nope, if it happened months ago. You're SOL.

For all other items, they will not be returned:
