Steam families with friends?
I see on the FAQ it states accounts in the same household, but I've also seen others say as long as the accounts in the family are in the same country, it works? I and my two friends live in the US, just different states. I don't want to risk getting banned or something.

You will not get banned for doing this but unless you are in the same household it will not let you join the family group but after you do that it should work fine for awhile if not in the same area like that.
