guide scam
i was looking at this guide on the steam app on my phone.

when i clicked on the second images in the guide for a closer look it automateclly downloaded on my phone. i deleted it straight away and changed password. has anybody heard of something like this before?

Relax, it's not a malicious file. All you have to do is upload it to virustotal to get multiple different scans of it. Besides if you rename the file and add jpg to the end it allows you to view it.

There's just something funky with the way Steam's handling it for some reason. When I click on the images I get an invalid URL message. If I copy it I get

Pasting it to a browser downloads the image file, but without jpg extension, which is what you got automatically.

Unrelated, but are you still having this issue? I'm having it with any image I try to open.
