How to revert back to old steam store UI?
title

Im even more concerned and confused why -vgui shortcut command doesn't work anymore
they override it somehow right? pff
"steam.exe -vgui forces Steam to start with the previous stable UI." - that no longer works

please give us option to roll back to previous UI, new one is so horrible with "trending searches" and entire top bar, so disgusting
it was perfectly fine before and there is no reason to force new unnecessary layout I didn't ask for

if anyone can find reliable method of switching back to previous UI somehow please let me (us) know, thanks

so sick of another multi-bilion company being bored and suddenly "fixing" things that ain't broke - changing UI layout for the sake of modernization and fitting newer users generations needs (tablet / phone look on PC etc)

BRING OLD UI BACK PLS

Well, it's not a client side only update. It's the actual store web page.

It sucks that there isn't any accessibility option to switch to the old UI. Miss when Valve would support low end devices. Now we just get people screaming at you to upgrade your hardware when there shouldn't even be a need for it in the first place. It doesn't matter what year it is; I want to enjoy my old online games on my old ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer, damnit

Nothing prevetn you from run old games. ( emulators and VM ) and NO, we will not explan this to you.

online games most game devs has shutdown old game servers.

Look more like you mean coup game host/client ( that's not a steam issue ) or dedicate servres.

c64, amiga or dosbox-X, or windows ? in a VM is the future.
you can find many emulating OS you alredy have license on can be used there.

No one will explan all that in how to do, and nothing prevent you from start steam in small mode to run games in old system.

?? No need to be condescending. I'm already experienced with emulation and all of that; (idk what that has to do with Steam though...) I can't even open big picture mode without the frames dipping. When I NEED to play a ram intensive game exclusive to Steam, then theres an issue.

My 6GB ram prevents me from running TF2 as smooth as it could before they changed the UI. Steam was around 100mb or less before, now 300-500mb taking up 50% of my ram. That leaves me with 90% to run TF2, it would be around 70% before the change.

70% Still isn't enough to enjoy a web browser at the same time, but enough to enjoy the game with little to no stuttering from background processes. I wouldn't have this issue at all if they allowed for a lighter weight UI like the old UI

Is this a discussion for just the store UI? Cause I just realized I went in talking about the general UI changes from like 2 years ago without mentioning it. whoops
Sounds like you need to do what others did years prior to your birth and that is *drumroll* hardware upgrades. My old windows 98 build sits stored away, I didn't keep it active and cross my fingers that software would stay as is seeing as I knew software updates over time as does system requirements. If you are wanting things more static perhaps console would be better.

Yeah, you're right. Sucks that companies aren't interested in supporting older hardware
They are interested, though not good for business and do recall Valve is a business, keeping up with hardware/software is part of that.
