I do not use SteamLink, so I am not sure why it would create its own audio driver, but you can manage it yourself.
Go to Settings > System > Sound > Volume Mixer.
Click the down arrow to expand the application input/output device.
As for Discord, that is separate issue from SteamLink. It will just try to use the default intput/output or what you've set it to be.
Also the reason why it makes new sound drivers it’s to be able to have sound on phone when using steamlink
in mmsys.cpl you can see them, make sure 'dont lower my volume when my microphone is active' is not on, thats a common for noobs.
if you actually think the driver is changing winkey+r , devmgmt.msc and look at sound devices. i seriously doubt it. the wire could be bad as well, if windows detects the wire is not in, it wont play i believe. bad 3.5mm wire?
also it says my NVIDIA output isnt plugged in even tho its apart of the computer, also i have a laptop so it wouldnt make sense
Then you can re-check those windows settings that Tristin spoke about and right click inside the little box that shows a list of all of your speakers, and make sure that "Show Disabled Devices" is checked.
I just had this issue & your solution solved my issue!
