Steam using excessive memory
Randomly and often, my computer will start acting sluggishly. Pulling up Task Manager it is always Steam using over 2GB of direct RAM Memory.

Shut Steam down.
Start Steam up again signing in
Memory use goes back to 675-700MB in active motion. It will stay there as long as you sit and watch it. Do anything else and look again in five minutes and it is minimally using over a GB for Steam and usually over 2GB

Is there anything to be done about it to limit the impact upon my computer? This one is built over the top specifically for gaming. Steam Client Web Helper is the only process which can slug my system whereas no three games running simultaneously all at max settings can touch my computer's reaction speed.
