Any way I could get into contact with a specific person on Steam? I'm trying to get an old skin of mine back.

As the title says, I need help contacting a Chinese user. His comments are off and he has nothing I can comment on to try and get his attention. He is also not responding to my friend requests.

I need to contact him so that I can have a 1 : 1 trade with him as I'm trying to get an old skin of mine back. It's a "The Emperor" and given the recent developments regarding regular Covert to knife/glove trade-ups the sense of urgency and panic has never been worse for me.

It is my first Covert and I idiotically sold it back in the day. All accounts that I've tried to contact in the past which owned the skin were Chinese and were ignoring me and that has been happening for literally 5 years now.

Edit: Damn. I thought that I needed to go to Reddit to get rude, condescending and outright unhelpful replies. Turns out ya'll are everywhere. Reading comprehension is also severely lacking. Poor souls.

If they have the skin, it's theirs not yours.

There is no way for you to force contact users who don't want to talk to you.

Nope, shouldn't have traded it away if you really wanted it. That item now belongs to them, not you.

Valve did add a new feature(somewhere) regarding being able to undo trades in case you were scammed. Some button on your inventory. It was in the blue megaphone announcement things at the top of steam a few months ago.

Sounds like OP's trade was about 5 years ago.

Trade Protection wasn't a thing 5 years ago.

Which trades are reversible?

Only trades that were created as Trade Protected (displaying the yellow Trade Protected item shield) can be reversed. Trades prior to this option's availability cannot be reversed and cannot be modified by Steam Support.

You traded the item, as you said idiotically, which you either need to wait 5 more years for the person to reply or just move on, you are not owed that item in any fashion regardless of what you feel.
