! HOW TO PROVE STEAM GIFT !
So basically i bought a cs:go for my brother, it was a gift. He didn´t play it for a while and someone also stolen his acc(im not sure). He s got new email, password everything..but he need to gain access to play games again. This is the messege " This account will have restricted functionality until the owner has regained access. ". So i have written to steam support on his account but nothing help. They wanted to provide first email,i did it (there was an email of cs:go gift it was in may), then they want to prove that he owns the game --> photo of cd key with number of ticket written on it, i cant move without it its like reply number 20 already. So how the **** can i prove it when it was a gift from me there isnt anything like cd-key( I have already sent them everything i could like photos of my purchase history or photo of the gift email). I have added money on my steam trough paypal

Yes but i just added money on steam trough paypal there is just steam --> 30 pounds.... nothing which can prove that i ve bought him cs:go as a gift

if you cant prove it, youll have to have him make a new account and then buy the game again.

account security ? i bought a game as a gift to my brother, they blocked it. I have sent them photo of my purchase history there is everything --> what i bought, how , in what time , to who. i ve also sent them paypal history, my wallet history. Its all i can do, and i also asked them what more can i do and that answer was same with closing ticket :D ( u need to prove it :D... so didint i prove it ? ) they just took a game from him and my money from me. Its just low price but imagine if i d buy him something for like 100+. Never again

erm.

you bought csgo as a gift for your brother.
he activated it and played it
then he lost his account somehow.
right?

he has to recover his account and that is none of your business, your payments doesn't have to do anything with his account. HE has to proof the ownership of HIS account and YOUR payments have nothing to do with proof of ownership of HIS account.

Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy." ---> They mean cs:go i think ? Thats what i bought, or else its just downloaded steam, no games there and he didint get any email from steam

If you have a physical CD-key of CS:GO, then yes.

Otherwise, your brother has to resort to payment methods that have been applied on HIS account: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2268-EAFZ-9762

I dont have physical cd key it was bought trough steam wallet, he would get and email with cd-key but it was a gift so he doesnt have any cd key + i ve send them photo of my paypal history also wallet history. He has never bought anything on steam only free games he doesnt have paypal or anything thats why I bought a gift to him, only payment that was ever made on his acc was a gift that i bought him with my money,my acc...

In that case you don't really have proof of ownership, I'm afraid.

It'll likely be up for a negotiation with Steam Support.

you dont even have anything to do with it. your brother needs to prove ownership of his own account. show that link to him, if he cant prove ownership move on with your life.
