PLS I NEED HELP.
Hello, good day. My question is about family groups. If I have a family group where I am the only member and there’s an invitation that didn't go through, if I delete the group, can I join another one without having to wait a year? This is my first time dealing with family groups, tyyyy

As long as you have been the sole member of your family group and NOBODY else ever joined fully you should be able to disolve your family and join another without triggering the 1 year cooldown, yes.
But if someone other then you joined, even just for a few minutes that means you will get the 1 year cooldown when you disolve the family.

Oh, thank you very much for your response, but hypothetically, if someone joined my family and now there are two of us, is there any way to bypass the one-year wait? Maybe talking to support or getting a second chance if I'm removed from the family?

Sadly no. As soon as you have at least 2 members the family is "locked in"so to speak.
You will have to wait the full 1 year before you can join or create another family.
And even Steam Support can not shorten the cooldown, users have asked before and the answer was that the cooldown system is fully automatic and Steam Support has no access to it at all.

I have the same issue with my brother he accidentally created a a family instead of joining mine so he dissolved that one and tried to join my but then it said that it failed to join family because recent steam activity suggest we are not in the same household.

"Not the same household" is a different thing.

I don't know the order in which problems are reported, though. It might still be possible that once the "same household" is cleared, Steam might then complain about an active cooldown because of being in a different family before.

Does your brother use a VPN?
