2) Install Origin if you haven’t already.
3) Click Play to launch an EA game from Steam.
4) Origin will launch and ask you to link your Steam account and your EA Account.
5) Log in to Origin using your EA Account info or create a new EA Account.
6) Steam will install your game and let you know when it’s ready to play.
1) You purchase EA games on Steam and then follow the procedure in post # 1 to link the accounts and Origin validates ownership of the game licence on Steam.
2) You do not get a copy of an EA game on Steam if you have it on EA and neither do you get a Steam copy of a game from having it on Epic or Ubisoft.
3) You can add EA games to Steam as a non Steam game but this does not mean you have a Steam copy of the game.
You can buy EA games on Steam. That would make it a Steam based game and any add-ons or DLC that is on sale on Steam will work for your Steam platform EA game.
But you can't buy a game on EA and then buy that game's DLC on Steam, or vice versa.
The games you purchase on your Origin account will not appear in your Steam library.
The EA games purchased on Steam account will be in your Origin library, too but will require you to be logged in to both Steam and Origin clients in order to run.
You cannot play games from your Origin library on Steam if you didn't buy them on Steam.
You cannot use Steam to buy DLC for games you don't own on Steam.
Linking your Steam and Origin accounts for this purpose is useless.
It might be possible to link them if you try to log in to the Origin website (in a web browser, not in the client) using your Steam credentials.
