Steam logs me out of my account on my web browser every two days or so

I used to be able to stay logged into my Steam account for many months, but for awhile now I get logged out every other day (the PC Steam app doesn't do this, though) .

Using Widows and Firefox on my PC, it tells me I'm trying to log in under a new device despite having checked off "Remember this device" every time I log in. It sends me an email with a five-character code to complete the process until I am logged out again.

No ad-blocking software is running. How do I stay logged into my account on the browser?

Yeah it does that now. Im guessing to prevent misuse or scammers using cookies or something or known hacks to gain access to your steam account. Which was a famous vulnerability with google accounts. It was about half a year ago things exploded. and i think you now automatically logged out after some time now.

I have that too.

Normally that only happens if
1) you are using a cookie deletion tool (these are basically unnecessary now)
2) You are browsing in incoginto/private mode
3) you are actively deleting your cookies (again this is mostly unnecessary)

1. Nope, in fact I specifically give Steam's URL permission to save cookies in the browser security tab. If this were the problem, I would always be logged out when I revisit the site and as I said, it only makes me log in every few days.

Check your browser settings as this is not normal and something on your end is causing it.

Its not normal? I have it too. Since some time. I thought it was a safety feature. I never stay logged in. I thought it was to prevent that exploit that could hack youtube channels and google accounts.

if you have CCleaner type of tools, those will clear cache/cookies by setting.

for me it started 4 days ago, i was always logged in before, so i doubt its something in hes end and my end and also that its cookies and/or caches issue

i remembered that i had similar issue years ago until steam fixed it, and it happens only on steam
