Cant select existing library folder on Linux

Hi.

I installed steam on my Linux Ubuntu 19 about a year ago and created steam apps folder in my hard drive and everything was working fine.

But now suddenly the steam does not recognize game location and when I try to select the library location the file browser only allows me to select folders inside the already existing game library and I can't go back.

and even if I try to select a location inside that folder steam exits.

(The reason I don't use current folder is that its on my SSD and I don't have room for games)

When I open steam on command line and try to select folder, I get logs about not having permission and using another file explorer because it could not select the default one.

I tried multiple solutions, reinstalled steam but It did not work. Can someone help please?

Thanks for responding but I dont want to move my games (It does not recognize any as it can't recognize my library).

I just want to add my main game library which is in my hard drive.

Fix:
Launch Steam with the -console option on the command line.
Click the Console tab.
Run the command "library_folder_add /path_to_your_folder/" without quotes.
The output should be: "Mounted path /path_to_your_folder/"

What if when doing this I get the error “failed mounting that path?” The drive is mounted and partitioned, I can see it in dolphin. I’m on arch, I installed steam with pacman
