Is there a way to refund soundtracks?

Hi all,

Having trouble with getting a refund on a soundtrack.

I bought a game last year with its soundtrack, then bought an updated edition a little over a week ago, also with its soundtrack, not realising that the two versions of the soundtrack are identical.

I've requested a refund from Steam twice now for the soundtrack only and advised why and both times have been refused as I've played the game for over four hours.

I'm aware that I should have checked before I bought the soundtrack, but, as far as I'm aware, you don't have the track listing when you purchase it.

Is there any way to get it refunded or is this something that Steam will out-and-out refuse to refund, despite only wanting to refund the soundtrack and not the game?

You can try and open a support ticket and explain the situation. If that also gets rejected then there is nothing more to do then moving on.

If you purchase a bundle you have to refund the entire bundle not just a component of them. Hence them refusing your request.

I'd say they aren't letting you get the refund since you could buy and download the soundtrack, copy its files, and then get the refund. So you basically get the soundtrack files for free. Playtime probably has nothing to do with the soundtrack itself.

so i made a huge mistake buying a 0.95 cents or INR 95 Rs Ost of a game detention and i have to refund the also to refund the sound track

pretty sure to refund something you must have bought it at max 2 weeks ago and have less than 2 hours on it. I assume the first one counts for soundtracks.
