If it's some rando on the Internet, they could try using it as proof of ownership and take over your account.
Why would you want to share that anyway your ownership?
To share with a friend I use a snip of the purchase date and prices from my purchase history. No actiavtion codes used point made.
Rule of thumb just dont share you private information to anyone ever.
What do you think is your reason?
If it was a fake support asking,
pattern of scam is:
Bait, story, steps
There isn't anything in there, but when valve asks for proof of account ownership that list is useless. You need the actual PHYSICAL key.
There most likely isn't any harm in sharing it as you've been told but there is also 0 reason why you would EVER need to share it.
So this would be the 1 reason "why you would ever need to share it."
And yes, I know I shouldn't have bought it from kinguin in the first place but I'm poor, cut me some slack.
