How do you show nicknames like "Username (Nickname)" on the steamcommunity friends list?
So I just realized that despite me having it enabled in my friends list on Steam to show friends the way I just described, nicknames are completely overwriting the usernames as if the option were disabled if I look at my friends list on Steam Community. I have a higher preference labeling and identifying people by their original username, but I can't seem to find the option to change this for the main site. Can someone help me locate the setting?

You failed to realize that I was asking specifically for the Steam Community setting. I have this set already like such on my Steam friends list on the program itself. I mean for the website. The site you can browse without using Steam itself.

In the client, there isn't one. It only shows in the friends list and posts they make.

...Why isn't there an option? Steam literally orders people in said friends list by their original steam name, not nicknames. If you're going to make the nickname overwrite the original nickname and not have the option, they should at least make it order accordingly. Are you absolutely certain there isn't an option? It seems like a minor oversight if there really isn't one.

It's in the client settings now, under Friends and Chat.
