Loss of audio in specific games
I have had a new laptop for the passed few weeks and it worked fine out of the box. A few days later, about half the games I downloaded through steam stopped having audio. I later downloaded Escape from Tarkov to find that it also had no audio. Everything works perfectly fine outside of any videogames, but when i'm in-game, on certian games, I flat out have no audio with the exception of baked in cutscenes.

Games that are working properly:
The Binding of Isaac
Devil May Cry 4
Dota 2
FTL
PAYDAY 2
Civ V
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Warframe

Games without any in-game audio
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Golf With Your Friends
Holdfast: Nations At War
Kerbal Space Program
Escape from Tarkov

I have been using an Earforce XO One Turtle Beach headset with my games while using Discord chat. Initially, everything worked perfectly. Games, headset, xbox one controller. Then, while I was playing Dota with friends, the audio dropped out and was replaced with a 2, or so, second long buzz that would then stop and start again at a different note, and continue like that until I removed the audio jack and maybe left the discord chat. Audio would kick back in a few seconds later. I didn't notice the change immediately because Dota works fine, and the broken audio may not have kicked in until it happened a second time. Aliens worked perfect the first time or two I played it. Later on, it stopped working, but I hadn't checked all the games that weren't working before the event.. This was also around the same time I purchased and downloaded Fallout: New Vegas. When I started up Fallout, it worked perfectly until the opening cutscene ended and gameplay started, to which I was treated to no audio and some 10 frames per second. I'm aware that Fallout is finicky anyway.

So I and my friends try to fix it and eventually redownloaded the audio drivers, which worked. All my games had audio. Fallout not only had audio, but had the proper framerate too and I played that until it crashed.

Later on, I had Discord up, headset in, and Dota on. Got the same buzz from before and I immediately checked Kerbal Space Program to make sure it was still running audio. It wasn't. Tried the audio driver download again, and nothing. Updated the BIOS, and nothing. Downloaded the audio driver after updating the BIOS, and nothing. As far as I know, all my drivers are up to date and, aside from a factory reset which I don't want to do yet, am now lost for what to do. I'm thinking it's an incompatibility with the headset, but I wouldn't know how to check that, cause I didn't put enough points into my computer skill.

I'm using an ASUS ROG Strix Scar Edition 17.3” 120Hz 3ms Gaming Laptop with Intel Core i7-8750H Processor, GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, 16GB DDR4, 128GB PCIe SSD + 1TB Hybrid HDD on Windows 10. The audio is Realtek High Definition Audio. The model number is GL703GE - ES73
