By the second thing I meant whether I can remove the entire badge tab (Steam Awards Nomination Committee 2016) from the Badges List. I've just read that it will go away eventually on its own if it has not been completed.

Yeah I made some research in the meantime but wanted to get answers for myself for this specific case. Turns out that these annual things like Holiday events should eventually be removed if they did not reach at least lvl 1 badge. "Wait to get a new badge thing next year", is that supposed to mean that the current 2016 will be replaced with 2017 badge as I stated above or that I will simply be able to get a new 2017 badge while still keeping uncompleted 2016? Because the issue is not that I did not get it, I don't mind that. The issue for me is having that empty badge that I can no longer complete

But if it will get removed on its own - thank god that's the case. I'm heavy OCD and these little things would ruin life for me lol

I know that feeling. I remember when it still used to show the badge even if there were no card drops remaining for that game (and I haven't crafted the badge). Now it seems to only show the game badges at the top that still have card drops remaining and crafted badges below it.

Can anybody confirm whether I can rely on the fact that this badge will go eventually away since I did not complete any of it?

It will go away eventually. i missed one summer sale and the tab was there for some time but eventually disappeared.

You desperate-moments solving person, you! I needed to hear that really badly. Having something uncompleted that I will no longer be able to complete and it will stay around, as if it'd leave its mark would annoy me beyond all that's real.

The cards will expire on febuary 2 2017. It says so on the card description. The unfinished badge on your account will disappear because how would anyone be able to collect these cards if they are expired

After nomination and sale ended you can only buy the cards on the market or trade with friends until febuary 2.

You still have a good chance to collect these cards and craft the badge ( with todays nomination and exploring your today's discovery Queue included you could receive 15 cards in total).
Keep in mind that there is also a good chance that you will receive double cards.

As long as you do not do any of the tasks, it will go away.
