Nope, you will just have to deal with it and move on. Hub moderators can decide their own limits in terms of what they allow to be posted. Try and find third-party forums or discords where you can speak more freely if you are not allowed to post something with a negative tone over there.

There are quite a few Steam-hubs known to use this type of moderation. DBD as the most famous one. (Never played that game, but the stories are pretty insane)

Ex-DBD player and subforum user here-can 100% confirm. Anyway, OP, there’s nothing you can do to get back on that game’s forum unless they have an appeal system that they actually use (DBD’s appeal system is essentially “we literally never overturn bans, screw you”). I don’t know what game you’re referencing (I don’t recognize the initials), but their devs’ support team might be more understanding.

One thing you do need to do is contact Steam support and see if you can get them to disable this ban from counting towards your lifetime subforum ban limit (I have no lifetime bans, but have heard if you get 3-I think-lifetime subforum bans your account gets limited in some way unless you contact Valve and they decide the bans were frivolous).

Another thing you can do is boycott that game and those devs. If devs have such paper-thin skin-they shouldn’t be in the business of selling games, IMHO. Don’t give them more of your money for games or DLCs.

the game is galactic civilization IV, they happy when you talk positively about their game but I see that as soon as you criticise anything they start to look at you suspicious, it's ridiculous

Well it's their little kingdom ... I know it sucks, but the ban for that subforum is final as said in a previous post the ONLY thing you can do is contact support and ask if they can make it so it doesn't count towards the total bans. That said the ban for the subforum remains
