All steam games are the same icons when I download a new game

Every time I download a new game the same icon appears of the old game. I am sadly running on windows 10 and has no life support anymore . I cleaned out my files and i have plenty of room. I reinstalled steam .. I have one game added to favorites which is Last Epoch. Is there any way I can have this stop? It's annoying I wanna have an icon for all my different games not just one.

what does the icon look like? A picture with some bushes on the bottom? This is the default icon that windows uses for apps it cannot find the path or place the game is saved. Are you using a external SSD or HDD?

It's just the incon of the game and it changes to a blank piece of paper

Have you tried manually changing the icon and associated it with the game? There is a manual way you can do it. I suggest you google about manually changing icons on windows 10. Also you did not answer my question, are you using a external SSD or HDD?
